A Brief Overview
Columbus International Program (CIP) merged with US Together in October of 2017. CIP is now operating as the International Division of US Together and hosts professionals from around the globe in an effort to enhance public and cultural diplomacy. US Together shares the CIP value of promoting international understanding through intercultural exchange.
With the International Division’s valuable resources, US Together can expand our mission abroad and reach a much larger audience.
Long-Term Professional Exchange
CORE Program: foreign professionals who do not have prearranged placement in the United States. Duration: 1-18 months.
Global Partners Programs: foreign professionals who have prearranged placement in the United States. Duration: 1-18 months.
Cultural Exchange Intern Program: foreign college students or recent graduates. Duration: 1-12 months.
Professional Delegations: groups of up to 15 foreign professionals. Duration: 1-6 weeks.
Summer Camps: camps for high school or college students. Duration: 2 weeks.
Immersion Programs: customized cultural programs, focused on helping foreign citizens understand U.S. traditions and society.
Global Perspectives Program
Spain Trip: October 26 - November 5, 2019: participants will explore Madrid, Valencia, Granada, and Malaga. They will volunteer at local schools and nonprofits.
Rwanda Trip: December 29, 2019 - January 9, 2020: participants will visit Kigali, Akagera, Muhanga, Nyungwe Forest National Park, and Lake Kivu, among other sites. They will continue volunteering with partner nonprofits from the 2019 trip, including: CECYDAR, Duterimbere, and Barakabaho Foundation.
Bulgaria Trip: April 28 - May 10, 2020
Rwanda Trip 2019: participants spent their time visiting Kigali, Akagera, Muhanga, Nyungwe Forest National Park, Lake Kivu, and Rubavu Gisenyi. They volunteered with Rwandan nonprofits.
Greece Trip 2018: participants explored Athens and the island of Crete, visiting museums, and touring historical sites.
2019 U.S. - Russia Social Expertise Exchange: students from Columbus, Surgut, and Moscow will have the opportunity to work together to create mock nonprofit organizations.
2016 Business Innovation Collaboration: students from Columbus, Surgut, and Moscow have the opportunity to work together to create a business.
Professional Fellows Program: this program is a two-way exchange opportunity involving professionals and leaders from the United States and selected European countries. US Together acts as a mentor to professionals from across the globe.
Customized International Trainings: qualified trainings tailored to specific professionals of all ages.
